How it works

Three quick steps

  1. 1

    Upload an image

PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 10 MB. Best results with clear subjects and uncluttered edges.

  2. 2

    Pick a target aspect

Square to widescreen, portrait to landscape, or a custom canvas — we will fill the rest.

  3. 3

    Download the result

Your uncropped image arrives in seconds. Re-run with a new aspect to compare.

FAQ

Uncrop FAQ

  • What aspects can I extend to?
    Any of the standard ratios — 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4 — or a fully custom canvas.
  • Will it preserve the subject?
Yes. Uncrop runs identity-aware fill so faces, objects, and primary composition stay intact.
  • What if I don't like the fill?
Re-run with the same input — each run uses a fresh seed and produces a different fill.
  • How much does it cost?
2 credits per run regardless of input or output aspect.
  • How fast is each run?
Most uncrop jobs finish in under 10 seconds. Heavy traffic can push it to ~20.
  • Does it work on artwork?
Yes. Painted, illustrated, and 3D-rendered inputs all work; the model adapts to the source style.
  • What about transparent PNGs?
Transparency is treated as an empty fill region. Result returns as a flat RGB PNG.
  • Is the output watermarked?
Free tier outputs include a watermark. Premium and Ultimate are watermark-free.
  • Can I uncrop a screenshot?
Yes — UI screenshots, photos, scans all accepted. Heavily compressed inputs may yield softer fills.
  • Is uncrop available in Studio?
Yes — Studio's Extend tool uses the same model, plus a manual masking step for finer control.
